From our origins in print and supplies for accounting departments to pioneering payment and document automation solutions, our mission has always been clear: empower organizations to make smarter decisions and save money. Today, as part of the Valsoft Corporation family, we continue that mission with a renewed focus—delivering powerful solutions for IBM i/AS400, EDI, and payment management. Here’s how we got here:

1983: ACOM Solutions Founded

Established to serve accounting departments in manufacturing, providing high-performance printers and supplies.

1993: Entered Software Development

Began developing MICR check printing software, targeting mid-sized businesses across various industries.

1999 — Expansion into IBM iSeries + EZConnect EDI Introduced

Acquired Formula One Systems, expanding into the IBM iSeries (now Power Systems) market with document and check management applications. That same year, EZConnect, ACOM’s first EDI software solution, was introduced to streamline electronic data interchange for enterprise clients.

2002 — Financial Documents Business Unit Formed

Strengthened capabilities for U.S. commercial banks with the acquisitions of Premier and TagSoft for in-house check production.

2005 — ACOM Health Launched

Entered the healthcare space with acquisitions focused on EHR and practice management for ambulatory practices.

2011 — Growth in Healthcare Services

Added Contract Medical Billing to offer revenue cycle management services to healthcare clients.

2016 — acompay™ Introduced

Launched acompay™, a smart electronic payment automation platform tailored for AP departments.

2018 — Refocused Core Business

Divested ACOM Health and revenue cycle services to private equity buyers, realigning focus on document and payment solutions.

2019 — acompay™ Acquired by American Express

acompay™ acquired by American Express, reaffirming ACOM’s focus on enterprise document and payment automation.

2024: ACOM Systems in Born

Valsoft Corporation acquired ACOM’s IBM i / AS400, EDI, and payment management divisions. The business was renamed ACOM Systems, ushering in a new era of document flow automation and intelligent enterprise integration.
